Everyone wants to be a realtor, that is, before you become a realtor. We’ve all seen the flashy houses and shiny cars that realtors drive and its hard not to stare in awe as you imagine what their life is like and how they make it so easy. You then start imagining yourself driving in that exotic car with a million dollar property and selling houses like hot cakes. But what I can tell you for a fact that is not the case. It's a very humbling experience. I started my journey to be a real estate agent in August 2020 and this is what I learned.

  1. NO FREE MONEY

You have to get used to the fact that you do not get money until the SALE CLOSES. That means you can spend weeks and months helping 1 client but you wont get paid until they decide to put an offer in AND the offer gets accepted AND the property closes without any hiccups. You have to guide clients through house tours, inspection, escrow, and partner with lenders cause you have to be the one stop shop for your clients. You have to be ready and able to respond and help resolve any issues that arises. So you can expect to have 0 income for quite a while and so in order to survive you have to prospect every day and save the money you do make.

2. PROSPECT PROSPECT PROSPECT
